In this project, the design team at TTL (The Third Line) began the process by studying the cultural and natural context of Lufkin in East Texas. Early design sessions focused on understanding the identity of the Piney Woods region and the city’s strong timber heritage. During these initial explorations, TTL proposed several concept directions— including forms inspired by the vertical rhythm of pine trunks and textures echoing the surrounding forests, which are among the defining symbols of East Texas. Some of these ideas resonated with the client and remained in the design development, while others were adapted to better align with the client’s personal taste.

Throughout the process, continuous dialogue between the client and the TTL project team—whose composition adapts according to each project’s specific needs—helped refine the final design. This collaborative approach ensured that the resulting space reflects the client’s aesthetic expectations while maintaining meaningful ties to the cultural and environmental character of the region. The outcome is a showroom that balances technical precision with a contextual identity, shaped equally by local heritage and the client’s individual vision.
